COSTA MESA, Calif. -

Insights from the car owner experiences of more than 3.2 million drivers can now be accessed from the new JDPower.com car-shopping website that shares recent vehicle rating, review and award verified data.

To help car shoppers find dependable makes, models and body styles for model-years 2013 to 2018, J.D. Power announced Monday that its site now uses a new 100-point rating system to rank individual models and name J.D. Power award winners.

“J.D. Power has been synonymous with customer satisfaction for 50 years, and that remains the case as we gather data from verified new-vehicle owners about quality, dependability, performance and dealership experiences,” company consumer division vice president Troy Snyder said in a news release. “This rich feedback is provided for free to shoppers for the first time in a fast and concise manner, whether on a desktop or mobile device.

“A vehicle usually is the second-costliest purchase a consumer will make, so for everyone to have access to J.D. Power car market data is another example of why we’re such a trusted consumer resource,” Snyder continued.

On JDPower.com, consumers can now get a better understanding of a vehicle’s 100-point rating, via J.D. Power’s newly introduced Red Blade Ratings system that evaluates vehicle quality, comfort and technology features based on nine different metrics.

“Reviewing these quick metrics when determining which car is best out of several possibilities is an important step to deciding on one’s perfect car,” added Snyder.

Along with detailed information on how specific award-winning vehicles have achieved their individual distinctions, J.D. Power.com can also give car shoppers information related to the performance of each brand’s sales personnel, service advisers and service facilities.

The insights featured on JDPower.com have been gathered from J.D. Power studies such as the: Vehicle Dependability Study; Customer Satisfaction Index; Initial Quality Study; Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout Study; and Sales Satisfaction Index Study.

Additionally, the company said that J.D. Power.com visitors can expect even more rating, review and award data to be added to the site over the next few months.
