BUFFALO, N.Y. -

ACV Auctions has brought aboard a new company chief financial officer and chief corporate development officer.

The company announced Wednesday that it has named Matthew George to serve as CFO and Craig Anderson to serve as chief corporate development officer.

“We have achieved a tremendous amount in a few years,”ACV Auctions chief executive officer George Chamoun said in a news release. “With the addition of Matthew and Craig, two seasoned veterans, we are positioned to accelerate growth and continue our objective of being the most trusted wholesale solution for dealers. We are fortunate to have exceptional leaders that fit our culture.”

In his new role, George will oversee ACV Auctions’ financial strategy, accounting and other operating functions as CFO. He brings 20-plus years of financial experience to the ACV Auctions executive team.

Most recently, George was vice president and CFO of the consumer division at Intuit. He joined the software company 2003 and has held a variety of financial leadership positions there.

Meanwhile, in addition to leading ACV Auctions’ innovation plan, Anderson has also been tasked with evaluating strategic opportunities and managing legal affairs as new chief corporate development officer, the company said.

Anderson brings financial, legal and business operating experience that spans over 15 years.

He most recently served as the CFO at Compass real estate technology company and has also held the role of VP for The Blackstone Group prior to joining ACV Auctions.

Anderson launched his career as an attorney at O'Melveny & Myers. Along with securities offerings and mergers and acquisitions, Anderson worked on private equity deals and complex litigation, according to ACV Auctions.
