MISSISSAUGA, Ontario -

With the integration of the company’s U.S. website now finished, ADESA Canada announced this week it is launching next.ADESA.ca for OPENLANE customers

The new site will replace the post-login pages of OPENLANE.ca, and users will buy and sell cars on this new platform.

“This is the next step as we continue to move the ADESA Canada marketplace to OPENLANE technology,” said Stephane St-Hilaire, president of ADESA Canada. “The ADESA and OPENLANE teams have been working closely together as we develop additional remarketing opportunities for our customers. I would like to thank them for their hard work and dedication to deliver this enhanced online platform.”

How does it work?

After dealers log in, they will be directed to a personalized homepage which features saved vehicle searches for quick reference to desired vehicle inventory, company officials explained.

“They will also now have access to ADESA Run Lists of inventory offered at auction — which is searchable by make, model, year, price, location, seller and more,” they added.

Customers will now also have access to the new ADESA Market Guide, which combines in-lane and online vehicle pricing for comparison purposes.

“I am pleased by our progress and excited by what next.ADESA.ca means for our Canadian customers,” said Peter Kelly, president and chief executive officer of OPENLANE. “We are one step closer to building a unified online venue for remarketing vehicles upstream, midstream and at auction.”

The company also explained that ADESA.ca will continue to run alongside ADESA.ca.

“During this transition, there will be a single sign-on so users can navigate seamlessly between the two platforms. ADESA LiveBlock, which simulcasts vehicle auctions from all ADESA locations, and ADESA DealerBlock, which offers bid-now sales events or buy-now pricing 24/7, will continue to be temporarily located on ADESA.ca,” officials explained.

For the time being, features and functionality will be added the the new site until all features and inventory are merged.

The company predicts that by late 2013, next.ADESA.ca will transition to ADESA.ca —“resulting in one, fully integrated website to serve Canadian customers both at auction and online.”
