CARMEL, Ind. -

ADESA has named a new auction general manager for its ADESA Phoenix location, who brings 25 years of auction experience to his new role.

The company announced Thursday that it has chosen Rod Davis from ADESA Brasher’s to head up its Phoenix-area auction located in Chandler, Ariz.

Davis, who most recently served as ADESA Brasher’s assistant GM, has been an auctioneer for consignment, factory and public sales for over two decades, according to ADESA.

In addition to his 20-plus years of experience that includes about 17 years in general management, the company said that Davis has also previously served as president of the Independent Automobile Dealers Association of California for three years.

Davis held his first auction role at the former Brasher’s Sacramento Auto Auction — now ADESA Brasher’s — where he served an outside sales representative. In two years, he became the auction’s dealer sales manager and was then later promoted to general sales manager, according to ADESA.

“He was promoted to general sales manager in 2001 and has served as assistant GM of the auction…for the past eight years,” the company said in a news release announcing Davis’ appointment.
