CarGurus said Monday it has brought the CarGurus Instant Max Cash Offer platform to four additional states, meaning the online car-selling solution is now available in 27 states and Washington, D.C.

The latest launches were in North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio and Arizona.

The company said CarGurus Instant Max Cash Offer now reaches about 81% of the country.

Instant Max Cash Offer, which is powered by CarGurus subsidiary CarOffer, allows dealers to bid on and acquire used cars online from consumers.

The platform blends CarGurus’ consumer-facing marketplace with CarOffer’s dealer-to-dealer vehicle bid system known as the Buying Matrix.
It launched in July.

“We are thrilled with the immediate and continual success of CarGurus Instant Max Cash Offer. It is the only auto retail buy-sell platform of its kind and delivers the necessary winning outcomes for both dealers and consumers,” CarGurus president and chief operating officer Sam Zales said in a news release.

“The deep synergies between CarGurus and CarOffer enable us to bring a highest bid and hassle-free car-selling experience to consumers while simultaneously opening up an extraordinarily broad channel to acquire vehicles for dealers. We look forward to bringing CarGurus Instant Max Cash Offer to more states as we roll this out nationwide.”
