ATLANTA -

Cox Enterprises, the parent of Cox Automotive, has named Maury Wolfe as its new senior director of corporate social responsibility and public affairs to lead both community and employee-action programs that support the company’s sustainability program — Cox Conserves.

Most recently, Wolfe worked for the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), where she oversaw sustainability across more than 5,000 hotels as director, global corporate responsibility.

"Maury's role with Cox Enterprises is key to helping us honor our commitments as we work to help build a better future for the next generation," said company senior vice president of corporate communications and administrative services Bob Jimenez in a news release announcing Maury's appointment. "Her extensive experience in corporate responsibility will build upon Cox's strong track record of giving back to our communities."

In her new role, Wolfe will lead sustainability-focused community and employee-action programs that support Cox Conserves, as well as oversee corporate giving, local public affairs and community relations.

"In addition, Wolfe will partner with Cox's operating divisions to lead the company's national corporate partnerships, focused on fostering diversity, protecting the environment and empowering families and communities.," the company explained.

Prior to IHG, Maury served as director, policy and sustainability for Coca-Cola Refreshments and manager, corporate responsibility and sustainability for Coca-Cola Enterprises.

Maury began her career as a manager, LEED for retail national accounts with the U.S. Green Building Council in Washington, D.C.
