SPOKANE, Wash. -

With gross sales of $67 million and an accounted attendance of 1,750 dealers, DAA Northwest’s latest annual Rock & Roll Sale this summer notably outdid all previous years, the company announced Sunday.

Along with a long-awaited performance from Rock and Roll Hall of Famer John Fogerty, the sale brought in a total of 5,047 consigned units, 3,612 vehicles sold and an average sale price of $18,750, according to the auction.

“Bringing classic rock legend John Fogerty into the middle of things generated tremendous excitement and record consignment.” DAA Northwest general manager David Pendergraft said in news release. “This event gives our industry colleagues an opportunity to network and enjoy themselves in a casual, fun environment.”

In addition to John Fogerty, the annual sale’s celebratory concert featured complimentary buffets, a variety of food trucks and an opening performance from The Cronkites band.

On top of that, as part of the 2-day event, DAA Northwest customers’ spouses also participated in a special “Sweetheart’s Day on the Town” event, where 50-plus guests went on a shopping trip followed by a private luncheon and fall fashion preview at Nordstrom.

“Ramping up for volumes like this takes collaboration and hard work,” McConkey Auction Group president at chief executive officer Bob McConkey. “Our Spokane team worked diligently for weeks and even months in advance to prepare for the Rock & Roll Sale. Last week, we were joined by staff from our Seattle and Kansas City auctions as well.”

“We are a team, and we share the same core values of integrity, excellence, professionalism and fun. I am blown away by the talent and the hard work our people bring to the market every week – not just during the Rock & Roll Sale.” McConkey continued.

DAA Seattle and KCI Kansas City employees helped DAA Northwest staff with condition report writing, block clerking, ringing in the lanes and checking-in guests, according to the auction.

Additionally, the 2018 Rock & Roll event featured around $75,000 in post-sale prizes and about 2,000 units from Ford Motor Company, Ford Credit, Toyota Financial Services, Lexus Financial Services, Kia Motors America, Hyundai Capital, Honda Remarketing, Acura Remarketing, Avis Budget Group, Ally Auto Remarketing and Harley-Davidson Financial Services.
