CARY, N.C. -

BSC America's Bel Air Auto Auction announced the addition of three new consignors to the Thursday sale lineup at its new Belcamp, Md. facility.

Credit Acceptance/VRS, BB&T/Regional Acceptance Corp. and Toyota Financial/Lexus Financial have begun running vehicles at the new facility this year, according to the auction.

In addition to gaining new consignors, since opening in September, Bel Air has been recognized for the best commercial mix at the OVE.com awards in Las Vegas, as well as been recently named Westlake's 2017 Auction of the Year in the Northeast Region.

"We are happy to note that our focus on service has been recognized by the remarketing industry, and it is with great pleasure that I share two national awards we've recently received with our auction team," BSC America's president  R. Charles Nichols said in a news release. "We're proud of the recognition we have received and pledge to continue to offer exceptional levels of service and performance as we provide the best environment for buying and selling vehicles in the Mid-Atlantic region."

Management changes at LAFCAA

Meanwhile, at Louisiana's 1st Choice Auto Auction (LAFCAA) several key changes have been made to its management team recently.

"We have worked hard over the last 15 years to groom a team of professionals to take over management of the auction. With several key top-level people approaching retirement age we need to ensure the continuation of LAFCAA and its success in the industry," auction managing partner John Poteet said in a news release.

Former auction general manager Don Sistrunk has transitioned into a newly created part-time role as an advisor to LAFCAA's executive team and Poteet.

Matt Alombro has been appointed to fill the auction manager role and Jacob Warren has been promoted to serve as general sales and marketing manager.

In his new role, Warren will work closely with Alombro and be responsible for integrating sales, marketing, and public relations activities of LAFCAA, according to the auction.

Four more additional promotions at LAFCAA include new inside sales and administrative manager Tenna Cooper, a promotion of Andy Poteet to e-commerce manager, as well as new consignor sales manager Jeff Martin and business manager Katie Alombro.

"Louisiana's 1st Choice Auto Auction is built on teamwork and collaboration," added John Poteet. "Time will show how these capable people will make an impact on the industry and on 1st Choice Auto Auction."
