Great Lakes Auto Auction has acquired Wolfe’s South Bend Auto Auction.

The Wolfe family decided earlier this year to focus on its two Southern Indiana auctions and worked with TPC Management Company to evaluate options for South Bend.

The Wolfe family purchased the South Bend auction in 2003. The auction opened in 1960.

“We are pleased to pass the baton in South Bend to Ryan Clark and Chad Anderson,” said Dan Wolfe, son of founder Tony Wolfe, in a news release. “We have watched their success at Greater Rockford over their many years there and know that both the auction and its customers are in great and capable hands.”

Dan and his brother Jeff Wolfe lead the operations for the family auction business.

“The Wolfe family established a legacy of service and integrity that is known throughout the auto auction industry. We look to build on the foundation the Wolfes cultivated in South Bend during their 20-year tenure,” Ryan Clark said.

Chad Anderson added, “We are excited for this opportunity in South Bend and look forward to expanding our service coverage in the Great Lakes region.”

The auction will be renamed Great Lakes Auto Auction and all staff members will be retained.
