Next up is Ally Ayers, sales executive at Greensboro Auto Auction.

Auto Remarketing: What is the top trend you’re watching in remarketing/wholesale automotive this year?

Ally Ayers: Market fluctuation due to fuel cost, lack of necessary parts to manufacture new vehicles. The price of new and used cars, demand, and borrowing cost of money between consumer and dealers. When you consider that automotive recalls have been climbing every year, it’s impossible to ignore the impact on all supply chain players.

AR: How has technology/innovation impacted your specific area of remarketing/wholesale the most?

Ayers: It has helped us expand our buyer base, and reach out to more dealers with the ability to have simulcast sales. It has amplified our buyer and seller network to a larger area of the country.

AR: What piece of career advice would you have for someone new to the industry?

Ayers: Be a good listener and build good Strong relationships. Always be a student to the business because it is always changing. You could pay attention to trends, but nobody could have predicted Covid. Always be proactive and work with fortitude.

AR: What is your proudest moment/accomplishment, career-wise?

Ayers: When I look back over the years, it not only makes me proud to be part of such an elite organization. I also have a huge sense of pride when I see the consistency in our growth and the continued loyalty of our customer base. A huge accomplishments for me is all the relationships I have developed by providing them excellent customer service.
