A new voice-first artificial intelligence platform designed help car dealerships with sales and service follow-up has launched in the U.S.

The platform, called Lokam.ai, is designed to automate customer communication, giving dealers greater capability to capture, convert and retain more customers.

Lokam.ai can integrate existing CRM and DMS systems to facilitate automated high-impact customer follow-up, the company said.

The company has raised $350,000 in funding as of April, led by dealer customer World Auto Group. Other backers include the NVIDA Inception Program and LvlUp Ventures.

“This platform was built to solve a simple but costly gap: dealerships generate demand but often don’t have the bandwidth to consistently convert and retain it,” Lokam.ai founder Muhammed Saleeq.

“By automating the work that often gets missed, we enable dealerships to create a more seamless customer journey while unlocking revenue that would otherwise be lost.”

On the sales side of the dealership, Lokam is designed to follow up with a dealer’s entire unsold showroom traffic within 24 hours, using dealership-branded calls, multi-layer spam-filtration, SMS outreach and intelligent retry logic.

On the service side, Lokam will engage with a service customer within 24 hours of theirs repair order closing. This helps service advisors focus on solving issues instead of cat-herding surveys and callbacks.
