Not unlike the “Nova Knicks” leading New York to its first NBA Finals in 27 years, CarNow has reunited a combo of superstars who have been teammates at multiple stops.

On Wednesday, the company named new chief revenue officer and executive vice president of marketing, respectively, hiring a pair of executives who previously worked together at Edmunds, TrueCar and Lotlinx: Gio Scognamiglio and Kerri Wise.

“Gio and Kerri are highly respected leaders with deep industry expertise and proven track records helping automotive technology companies scale,” CarNow CEO Joe Gilmour said in a news release.

“As CarNow continues expanding our platform capabilities and market presence, their leadership will help accelerate growth and strengthen the value we deliver to dealers,” Gilmour said.

Scognamiglio, the new CRO, will lead the company’s sales, customer success, retention and growth strategy initiatives. Wise, the executive VP of marketing, will head up the company’s marketing organization, leading such efforts as brand strategy, product marketing, demand generation and market positioning.

Both executives have more than 25 years of experience in automotive leadership. Both Scognamiglio (2023) and Wise (2019) have also been Women in Retail honorees in their former roles.

“CarNow has built a strong reputation for innovation and dealer partnership,” said Scognamiglio. “I’m excited to join the company at such an important stage of growth and help dealers create more connected, efficient, and customer-centric shopping experiences.”

Added Wise, whose background also includes time with AutoFi and JD Power: “CarNow has a tremendous opportunity to redefine how the industry thinks about customer engagement, conversion, and connected retail. I’m excited to help elevate the company’s story and showcase the innovation and platform expansion underway.”
