Former Manheim, America’s Auto Auction and ACV executive Matt Arias has a new role leading an auction of his own.

Arias, who has been in the auction business since 1999 and was the longtime co-chair of the NAAA Auction Standards and IARA Standards Committees, is now the general manager of Mid Kansas Auto Auction.

“We are pleased to welcome Matt Arias to the Mid Kansas Auto Auction,” auction owner and president Mark Ottley said in a news release. “He brings a deep understanding of the remarketing industry and auction operations to his role as general manager.

“He is recognized as an industry expert in vehicle arbitration procedures, inspections, reconditioning, operations management and resource optimization, which will make him invaluable to our auction team.”

Arias, who helped build the NAAA Standards classes that take place at auctions around the country, said in the release, “I am excited to join the Mid Kansas Auto Auction team. Mark Ottley has developed a winning combination of a superior full-service auto auction facility and a strategic central location that benefits both dealers and commercial accounts. I look forward to working with him and the action team to continue building the excellent service this auction has become known for.”
