ACV Auctions announced a strategic integration with dealer AI engagement platform DriveCentric on Tuesday that it says will provide dealers with a way to acquire more used cars from their service lanes and lead to new fixed operations revenue opportunities.

The integration will combine ACV’s ClearCar pricing engine and VIPER platform (which is a vehicle inspection, valuation technology and acquisition workflow) with DriveCentric’s new Service Engagement Hub.

The latter is a CRM for dealership fixed ops that provides a modern customer engagement and AI platform for service advisor and service BDC teams.

The integration will help give dealers “actionable insights from vehicle arrival through inspection, service recommendations, and potential trade acquisition,” ACV said in a news release.

“Every day, dealerships have hundreds of customers driving into their service lane, representing one of the largest untapped sources of retail inventory,” ACV CEO George Chamoun said in a news release. “By integrating VIPER with DriveCentric, we’re enabling dealers to intelligently identify acquisition opportunities, standardize inspections, and create a better ownership experience for consumers — all within the dealership’s existing workflow.

“DriveCentric was the first to recognize this opportunity and to build quickly with us, and that kind of forward-thinking partnership is exactly what dealers deserve,” Chamoun said. “The automotive space is moving toward connected ecosystems, and we’re building the infrastructure to make that possible at scale.”

In addition to helping dealers acquire more used cars, the integration can help dealers standardize digital MPIs, increase fixed ops revenue, improve customer experience and increase operational efficiency, said ACV, which is one of the sponsors of Used Car Week that begins on Nov. 16 in San Diego.

“The service drive is where dealerships see their customers most often, yet it’s been the most underserved part of the store,” said Joe Hampton, who is head of corporate development and partnerships at DriveCentric.

“Through this partnership, dealerships get something neither of us could deliver alone: a service lane that engages customers intelligently, uncovers real acquisition opportunities, and turns everyday appointments into measurable results.”

The companies expect the integrated solution will be available to mutual dealership customers this month.

ACV said this move is the beginning of several planned partnerships where the company, “continues to expand its connections with service-drive software and dealer management system providers to help dealers succeed, regardless of which technology partners they rely on.”
