Missouri-based Clement Auto Group has expanded to Ohio with the acquisition of Mansfield Motor Group, according to a news release from Performance Brokerage Services.

Mansfield is a family owned three-rooftop Honda, Nissan and Volvo group based in Mansfield, Ohio, and led by Dirk Schulter and Brett Schulter.

Clement Auto Group, based in the Greater St. Louis area, was founded in 2012 as a used-car store before acquiring Clement Ford in O’Fallon, Mo., in 2019, then adding more stores in Missouri and Illinois.

This is its first store in the Buckeye State.

“Performance Brokerage Services was instrumental in helping me acquire Mansfield Motor Group and establish my first dealerships in Ohio. Mark Shackelford, Sr. and Mark Shackelford, Jr. brought the opportunity to my attention and worked closely with me throughout the entire process, coordinating with the seller’s broker and helping navigate the transaction from our initial conversations all the way through closing,” Clement Auto Group founder, chairman and CEO Raj Clement said in a news release.

“What stood out to me was their accessibility and commitment throughout the process. They were always available when I needed them, helped keep the transaction moving forward, and were a valuable resource every step of the way.”

Mark Shackelford, Jr. added: “Mark, Sr. and I truly enjoyed working with Raj Clement on his acquisition of Mansfield Motor Group. From the beginning, Raj was professional, decisive, and a pleasure to work with throughout the entire transaction. We’re excited to welcome him into the Ohio automotive market and look forward to watching him build upon the strong foundation of his new Honda, Nissan, and Volvo franchises. We wish Raj and his team tremendous success and hope this is the first of many opportunities we have to work together in the years ahead.”
