Lithia & Driveway made a “CPO” move of a different sort on Tuesday.
The auto retailer has named Katie Macaddino as its chief people officer, a role in which she will continue leading Lithia’s global People & Culture organization and serve on the dealer group’s senior leadership team.
Macaddino will oversee people strategy, culture, leadership development, total rewards, employee experience and people systems.
She has more than 20 years of experience in business and people leadership, including 15 years at Intel.
Macaddino, who has been with Lithia since 2021, was most recently senior vice president of people and culture at the dealer group.
“From day one, Katie has embraced our business, leaders, and culture while bringing valuable experience that strengthens what makes LAD unique,” Lithia president and CEO Bryan DeBoer said in a news release.

“She understands that ‘Growth Powered by People’ is more than our mission — it is our competitive advantage and how we will continue to evolve. I’m excited to have Katie step into this role and continue helping shape the next chapter of LAD.”
