DELRAY BEACH, Fla. –

FLD, Inc., said Thursday it has promoted a new director of business development.

Appointed to the role is Carol Fowler, who previously served as transportation manager and sales rep for the company, overseeing both national and international fleets.

“Carol’s knowledge of auto auctions, paired with FLD’s superb IT department, was a natural fit for both of us,” said Gary Mott, vice president of FLD. “Her extensive auto-industry experience and network contacts will serve her extremely well in her new position in business development.”

Highlighting the exec’s background in the industry, the company said Fowler was first introduced to the business when she landed a job with West Palm Beach Auto Auction in the late 1970s.

She stayed on when the company was purchased by Anglo American Auto Auctions and eventually rose to the position of fleet manager.

After working with the Miami Car Auction in Opa-Locka, Fla., Fowler returned to West Palm Auto Auction.

Fowler has working with FLD since 2003.
