McLEAN, Va. –

As the vehicle damage from Hurricane Sandy continues to be sorted out, Carfax’s Mike Platts is teaming up with the National Automobile Dealers Association for a webinar tomorrow that will look at best practices for working with customers who are considering buying previously damaged cars.

The free webinar — which begins at 1 p.m. EST — will offer perspective “on understanding and alleviating customer concerns about a reported damage event.”

The workshop will show dealers how to figure out which damaged units tend to fare better in the retail market, while also providing statistics on damage severity. Furthermore, dealers can learn how to employ strategies “that establish trust and comfort when addressing damage details.”
