ATLANTA –
Safe-Guard Products International has rolled out a suite of products specifically tailored to the needs of independent dealers, the company announced Monday.
Featured in the RideSafe product suite are a vehicle service contract program, a tire/wheel and roadside assistance program and GAP protection.
RideSafe is immediately available in most states, officials noted.
“As the automotive industry continues to rally and recover from the economic downturn of late 2008 and 2009, independent dealerships are continuing to make great strides in gaining market share,” said Safe-Guard president David Duncan. “This growth is expected to endure into 2013 and beyond, and we believe it is important to recognize the business opportunity this affords both Safe-Guard and our partners.”
Breaking down the offerings, there are four coverage levels in RideSafe VSC, powertrain to exclusionary. There are short-term options that officials noted are designed specifically for the independent dealer.
RideSafe Tire & Wheel Plus Roadside Assistance provides short-term options and limited claim maximums.

Because roadside assistance is embedded in the product, it requires no motor club license.
Under RideSafe GAP, there is a 150-percent settlement GAP program offered.
