RALEIGH, N.C. –
Members of the Wake County New Vehicle Dealers Association in North Carolina will again give back to their communities via proceeds from the North Carolina International Auto Expo, which kicks off this week.
Expo organizers say the association has donated more than $280,000 to Raleigh, N.C.-area charities and organizations over the past six years.
Those beneficiaries include the WakeMed Foundation, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Raleigh Police Memorial Fund, Boys and Girls Club, Triangle Flight of Honor, and others.
The 2013 North Carolina International Auto Expo, now in its 26th year, will run Thursday through Sunday at the N.C. State Fairgrounds in Raleigh.
The expo offers attendees a look at the world of cars and trucks both import and domestic, including hybrids, electric, SUVs, compacts and luxury models.
Manufacturer representatives will be on hand at the expo, which also includes vendors, food, and a classic car show.
