Gunn Automotive Group Collects Toys for Tots

The latest models of popular pickup trucks are already at work in Texas dealerships, serving as drop spots for a holiday toy drive.
Gunn Automotive Group announced this week that its dealerships have teamed up with Toys for Tots to spread cheer to children across the San Antonio area.
All six stores — Gunn Acura, Gunn Buick/GMC, Gunn Chevrolet, Gunn Honda, Gunn Infiniti and Gunn Nissan — will take part in the drive, collecting new, unwrapped toys from community members now through Dec. 19.
And at Gunn Honda and Gunn Nissan the giving gets creative, as the 2014 Honda Ridgeline and 2014 Nissan Titan hold a prominent place in their respective showrooms, with a challenge set to fill the bed of each vehicle with toy donations.
Toys for Tots, founded in 1947 by Marine Corps reservist Maj. William Hendricks, is now an official activity of the United States Marine Corps, and an official mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.
The organization’s reach extends to more than 700 communities in all 50 states, as well as the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
Gunn Automotive Group, meanwhile, opened in 1955 and over the past five years has been recognized as one of the fastest growing businesses in San Antonio, and among the top 100 auto dealership groups in the U.S.
