PARK RIDGE, N.J. –
Hertz Global Holdings Inc. revealed it has chosen a new director.
The board of directors of Hertz and The Hertz Corp. announced Thursday Philippe Laffont has been elected as director.
Laffont is the founder and chief investment officer of Coatue Management, an investment management firm founded in 1999.
Prior to founding Coatue, Laffont worked at Tiger Management as a research analyst from 1996 to 1999.
Laffont began his career as an analyst in management consulting for McKinsey & Co. in Madrid, Spain, where he worked from 1992 to 1994, and then worked as an independent consultant until starting at Tiger, the company shared.
"We are fortunate to add a new member to the Hertz Board who has a strong background in identifying and capitalizing on long term technology trends based on fundamental research," said Mark Frissora, the chairman and chief executive officer of Hertz.
