ALEXANDRIA, Va. -

The American International Automobile Dealers Association highlighted some of the speakers who will be a part of the organization’s ninth annual International Auto Industry Summit that runs on May 11 and May 12.

The event’s opening dinner will be headlined by Robert O’Neill — a renowned member of Navy SEAL Team 6 — who will discuss his involvement in several high-profile operations.

AIADA also lined up Erin Kerrigan, managing director of Kerrigan Advisors, to discuss the state of the dealership buy/sell market. Congressional speakers are on the docket as are Washington, D.C., insiders such as Politico’s chief White House correspondent Mike Allen.

The association went on to mention Gen Y Guy Jason Dorsey will help dealers understand how to connect with millennial employees and customers.

Additionally, AIADA and Global Automakers will unveil the results of this year’s Economic Impact Survey, and several OEM executives will be on hand for the always-popular panel discussion.

“At AIADA, we rely on the involvement of our dealers to make an impact on legislators and policy makers,” AIADA president Cody Lusk said. “Your voice is crucial in helping those who make decisions in Washington truly understand what their choices mean to your daily lives as business owners and employers.

“This is especially true this spring as Washington contends with strong pushback against free trade agreements that will benefit international nameplate brands and dealers in the U.S. and as federal agencies like the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau pursue baseless regulations that will restrict how you do business,” Lusk continued. “Make your voice heard. Please, do not wait.”

Lusk added that registration for AIADA’s ninth annual International Auto Industry Summit is limited. Register can be completed by visiting AIADA's website or calling 1-800-GO-AIADA.

“I look forward to seeing you this spring in Washington, D.C. Together, I believe we can and will make a difference,” Lusk said.
