Brain+Trust, a provider of data and compliance services in automotive and other industries, has joined automotive information technology standards organization Standards for Technology in Automotive Retail.
In a news release, STAR said Brain+Trust, which specializes in data management, data privacy, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and future readiness, brings more than 100 years of combined experience in research, development, science and business transformation to the organization.
In addition to automotive, Brain+Trust works in the energy, travel, banking, government, entertainment, manufacturing, health and retail industries.
“Strategically, our organizations are natural partners,” said JP Garvey, STAR chairman and dealer principal of Garvey Auto Group.
STAR, a nonprofit organization whose members include dealers, OEMs, retail system providers and auto-related industry organizations, develops industry standards and emerging technologies for the benefit of retail auto dealers. It seeks to use non-proprietary IT standards to fulfill the business information needs of dealers and manufacturers while reducing the time and effort required to support related activities.
Brain+Trust will be part of STAR’s AI and dealership infrastructure and security guidelines work groups.
