Consumer-to-dealer automotive marketplace inride announced the launch of Trade Agent AI, an agentic artificial intelligence platform designed to help car dealerships find “hidden trade-in and purchase opportunities” directly from their customer database.
The company said it’s the first fully autonomous AI agent to proactively text values and schedule appointments with vehicle owners without human involvement.
“Every VIN is a trade. Trade Agent AI finds it first,” inride CEO Nick Perdikis said. “Dealers are sitting on a gold mine inside their database. We’ve built the first AI that mines it, books it and turns it into front-end gross — faster than any human team.”
In a news release, inride said dealership customers with trade-ins generate $2,000-$3,000 more in gross profit than other customers, citing internal benchmarks and NADA data, and said outreach to an existing database provides up to 10 times higher response rates.
Trade Agent AI seeks to capitalize on that by automating what it called an underused high-ROI channel.
The company said its cloud-hosted AI agent handles outreach, follow-up, value calculation and appointment setting, using proprietary VIN valuation using real-time market data.
Trade Agent AI is designed to integrate in dealership management and CRM software, and can be branded under the dealership’s name.
inride founder and chairman Alex Perdikis, who also owns Koons Motors, which operates two locations in the Washington D.C. area, said he knows the pain points dealers face and Trade Agent AI was created to address them.
“Trade Agent AI gives dealers peace of mind that no stone is being left unturned,” he said. “It is a critical component of our dealership’s follow-up. Every trade-in from our own database is worth over $2,500 in more gross than an auction unit. inride’s Trade Agent AI uncovers trades before they defect to competitors like CarMax, Carvana and competing nearby dealers.”
