DAAG’s Swofford elected NAAA VP

Dealers Auto Auction Group vice president John Swofford has been elected vice president of the National Auto Auction Association for the 2025-2026 term.
Swofford, who was elected during the all-member meeting at this week’s 2025 NAAA World Remarketing Convention in Kansas City, Mo., has been part of the auto auction industry for more than three decades and is a licensed auctioneer.

He spent the first 17 years of his career in various management-level positions with Manheim and ADT Automotive, and was part of a Manheim management team responsible for opening its location in Shenzhen, China in 2007.
Swofford joined America’s Auto Auction in 2009, where he had a hand in that company’s rapid growth.
In his current role with DAA, he is responsible for co-managing and overseeing the performance of DAA’s locations, including executing the company’s strategies and managing the auction general managers.
Swofford has been involved with NAAA throughout his career and is co-chair of the association’s Standards Committee. He has also served on the Governance Committee and IAASC board.
As NAAA vice president, Swofford will serve on the Executive Committee, and is slated to become president-elect for 2026-2027 and president for the 2027-2028 term.
