ADESA announced the addition of new general managers for two of its Florida auctions.

Anthony Marino joins the auction chain as the new GM of ADESA Ocala, following 20 years with DriveTime, most recently as general manager and head of operations. Marino was responsible for 12 Florida and Georgia locations, driving sales growth, improving customer experience and developing high-performing teams.

ADESA said his ties to the Ocala and Gainesville markets make him an “excellent fit” to lead the Ocala team.

At ADESA Tampa, Ryan Hellemn assumes the role of GM, moving over from ADESA Nashville after leading that auction through its integration with parent company Carvana’s inspection and reconditioning center, as well as strengthening operations and customer relationships, the company said.

Before joining ADESA in 2021, Hellemn held leadership positions with Red Bull and PepsiCo, giving him a foundation in sales and team development. He also serves on the board of Dreams and Wishes of Tennessee.

ADESA’s latest integrated auction-recon center site, at ADESA Golden Gate in Tracy, Calif., is now supporting Carvana’s same-day vehicle delivery service in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The company announced it has added the service, which allows local customers to receive a vehicle as soon as the same day they order it from Carvana.com, to the market as a result of the increased inspection and recon capacity created by the integrated facility.

Bay Area customers also have as soon as same-day drop-off and pickup options following an online appraisal process when they sell a car to Carvana.

“The Bay Area has always been an important market for Carvana, and we love to bring new innovations to a community known for embracing what’s next,” Carvana senior director of market operations and expansion Jacqueline Hearns said. “With this launch, we’re taking the experience to the next level by offering same-day delivery on a growing selection of vehicles.

“Now local customers can go from checkout to driveway delivery the very same day, getting even more speed with all of the convenience, transparency and control they’re used to from buying on Carvana.”

Carvana first introduced same-day delivery in Arizona and has rapidly expanded the offering to select markets across more than 15 states. The company plans to continue its expansion in the months ahead as it leverages its growing network of IRCs and fulfillment operations.
