Montway Auto Transport’s VIP Relocation service is giving its clients a little extra security boost.

The third-party logistics brokerage is adding two-factor authentication to all vehicle pickups managed through its VIP Relocation service, designed to ensure vehicles are handed off only to authorized recipients. The feature aims to strengthen consumer protection, reduce fraud and increase confidence through the vehicle transport process.

Relocation customers now receive a unique, single-use code to confirm with the driver before their vehicle is released, the company said, introducing a verifiable checkpoint into a process that has traditionally relied on informal exchanges. And by employing a digital security standard already familiar to most consumers, the verification step is easy to use and scalable for all involved.

Montway’s VIP Relocation team provides vehicle shipping services for van lines, relocation management companies and independent moving organizations, including domestic and worldwide transport for cars, trucks, SUVs, electric vehicles, ATVs, motorcycles and powersports.

Unclear handoff procedures and unauthorized activity have long been issues in the moving and automotive transport sectors, Montway said, adding the verification step adds a clear, time-stamped confirmation of authorized release to reduce the likelihood of misdeliveries, fraudulent activities and documentation disputes.
