AVILOO, a Europe-based provider of electric vehicle battery diagnostics that entered the U.S. market in 2024, now has a leader for its American operation.

Auto industry veteran Brett Lippel has been named CEO of AVILOO Northern America to drive strategic growth and nationwide adoption of its battery testing technology.

His mission, the company said, is to “establish independent battery diagnostics as a new national standard of trust in EV transactions.”

AVILOO Global CEO Marcus Berger called Lippel “a proven expert from the automotive sector” who brings market knowledge and extensive industry relations.

“We can see how passionately he takes on this mission,” Berger said, “and we are confident that thanks to his know‑how and dedication, we will make a decisive step toward realizing our goals in the United States.”

Lippel, who will be featured on the Live Stage at next week’s Used Car Industry Summit in Miami, said he has already had extensive engagement with industry stakeholders during his first weeks in his new role.

“This new responsibility is incredibly exciting, and I’m glad to be part of the outstanding AVILOO team,” he said. “I am 100% convinced by the product, and I believe our independent battery certificate is exactly the tool the industry needs to sustainably revolutionize the used EV market in the coming years.”

In a news release, AVILOO, founded in 2018 and headquartered in Vienna, Austria, said its manufacturer‑independent, validated battery diagnostics accurately assess an EV battery’s real condition rather than relying on battery management system data.

With the U.S. EV market growing and a wave of used EVs hitting the market over the next few years, the company added, information about battery health has become an important factor for consumers, dealerships, remarketers and fleet operators.

Lippel comes the AVILOO from SYCN Auto Logistics, serving for three years as chief partnership officer and senior vice president of sales. His more than 20 years of leadership experience includes stints with Midway Auto Group, Peak Performance, TrueCar and Enterprise Mobility.

AVILOO said Lippel’s strong background in scaling organizations, building nationwide partnerships and leading high‑performance teams will help him use his network and operational expertise to accelerate use of its battery testing among dealerships, fleets, remarketing partners and OEMs.
