Numa is moving into new territory.
The artificial intelligence platform for dealership service department customer operations has acquired AI sales platform Ficus, a deal designed to accelerate Numa’s expansion into dealership sales and variable operations.
“This has been a defining year for Numa,” founder and CEO Tasso Roumeliotis said. “Dealerships are moving from fragmented software and manual processes to AI-native operations.
“We’ve built strong momentum by helping dealers modernize customer operations, and with Ficus joining Numa, we are expanding that transformation into sales. Our goal is to help dealerships run a fundamentally better business — more responsive, more accountable and more profitable.”
Numa, founded in 2017, has since grown its AI agent platform to include LiveCSI, Voice AI with Smart Inbox, Opportunities, Platform and Operator, and is now used by more than 1,300 dealership clients in North America, the company said.
Ficus was founded by Lucas Florence in 2024 to give sales leaders visibility and real-time insight into how their teams’ execution and coaching opportunities they would otherwise never see, Florence said on his LinkedIn page.

That page also indicated he is now serving as Numa’s chief of staff, driving Ficus’ integration of Ficus into the Numas platform as well as leading go-to-market strategy, operations and cross-functional initiatives.
“From day one at Ficus, our focus was on improving visibility, accountability and execution inside dealership sales teams,” Florence said. “Joining Numa gives us the platform and reach to bring AI deeper into the dealership and help retailers modernize one of the most important parts of their business.”
