Asbury Announces New CFO, Senior VP

With the former chief financial officer for Asbury Automotive Group stepping into the president and chief executive officer role, the company revealed Tuesday that it’s search for a new CFO is over.
Asbury announced Tuesday that Scott Krenz will be the new CFO and senior vice president, effective June 27. The company is “fortunate to have a leader such as Scott Krenz," said Craig Monaghan, former CFO, who in February accepted the position of Asbury president and CEO.
Krenz was most recently executive vice president and CFO at global leadership advisory firm Heidrick & Struggles, after serving in the same position at Navigant Consulting.
Moreover, He has also spent more than 20 years in various technology firms, including Electronic Data Systems Corp., and holds a CPA certificate in Illinois, the company noted.
"We are fortunate to have a leader such as Scott Krenz taking over the CFO position and look forward to benefiting from his broad financial and technology experience," Monaghan said.
"Together, with the leadership team in place, there is no doubt Asbury is well on its way to becoming the most admired automotive group in the country,” he continued.
Krenz expressed excitement for his new responsibilities, saying it feels “good” to get back into the automotive world.
"Coming from a family that owned an automotive franchise, it feels good to be back in the car business. Asbury is a great team, and the company has made substantial progress. I am excited to join the Asbury family and be a part of the company’s future success,” Krenz concluded.
