CHICAGO -

Cars.com revealed its vice president of technology late last week. Appointed to the role is Kayne Grau, who has been with the company since 2008.

In the new position, Grau’s duties include leading strategy and guiding projects for the company’s information technology initiatives.

“Kayne brings to the task an impressive track record here and extensive experience managing technology groups,” noted Bill Swislow, the chief information officer and and senior vice president for product at Cars.com.

“His knowledge of our business and organizational skills will help us continue to meet the evolving needs of our shoppers and advertising dealers and manufacturers,” he continued.

When Grau came aboard Cars.com, he was the director of development and the next year began heading up technical operations and quality assurance, as well.

Swislow said Grau has worked with his team to help core site performance become steady and to create focus and efficiency in application development.

Moreover, he and his team have broadened the capabilities in the quality assurance arena, according to Swislow.

Officials also noted Cars.com is looking for professionals to fill other IT roles, as well.

“The planned growth for the Cars.com technology team reflects the tremendous strides we’ve made in the past two years,” Grau shared. “I’m proud to work with these talented professionals as we expand the department’s capabilities and accelerate program deliverables.”
