DALLAS -

Copart has opened a new South Carolina location on almost 100 acres of land in the city of Spartanburg.

The company announced Thursday that its new Spartanburg auction is located at 1921 Nazareth Church Road.

This news comes just a few months after the company made an announcement in June that it has opened a new North Carolina location in Lumberton that functions as a catastrophe response facility for vehicles impacted by severe weather events along the United States' North Atlantic coastline.

“We’re ready to expand our footprint in the upstate region of South Carolina,” Copart chief executive officer Jay Adair said in a news release. “The new Spartanburg location adds 96 acres of land to provide service to auto buyers and sellers.

“Here, Copart can continue to support the vehicle remarketing needs of northwestern South Carolina and beyond.”

In addition to the bidding kiosks that are available at the new location, Copart said that eligible buyers who join the auction can also bid on inventory from its website and the Copart mobile application for both iOS and Android devices.
