DAA Northwest Transformed into Outdoor Concert Venue

Last Wednesday and Thursday, DAA Northwest was more than just an auction, it was transformed into an outdoor concert venue.
During the auction’s 2011 Rock & Roll Sale, 2,000 of the 3,500 units offered were sold, according to the auction.
“Given everything going on around us, we are proud to post these kinds of numbers for this year’s event,” said Bob McConkey, DAA Northwest president.
The sale began on Wednesday with a fleet/lease offering and went strong until Thursday evening.
Besides sales, auction attendees were privy to concerts from local act The Cronkites, who opened for headliner George Thorogood & The Destroyers Wednesday night.
Customers also were treated to complimentary appetizers and beverages during the night, as well.
“It’s not common to quadruple your volume overnight and have it all come off without a hitch,” said McConkey.
“On top of that, try hosting a party for 3,000 of your closest friends in the midst of it all. The 2011 Rock & Roll Sale was a complete success, and we want to thank the DAA Northwest employees for their monumental effort in producing this year’s sale,” he continued.
As an additional bonus on Thursday, DAA treated participating dealers’ significant others to a catered Lake Coeur d’Alene cruise.
The sale concluded with $20,000 in post-sale prizes, noted company officials.
Besides giving customers and dealers a unique auction experience, company officials stressed the recent sale brought the auction’s “core values” into the spotlight.
“DAA Northwest’s core values are integrity, excellence, professionalism and fun. Employees are encouraged to have fun while on the job, but not at the cost of professionalism," company officials expressed. “And while pursuing excellence, DAA’s staff members cannot sacrifice integrity. These values come into play every day at the auction, but DAA’s annual Rock & Roll Sale brings them to the forefront.”
McConkey also offered his personal take on the sale and what it says about the company: “The Rock & Roll Sale is an event that embodies all of our core values throughout the entire week.”
“We truly live them as we execute every aspect of the sale, party and concert. To quote Mr. David Frost, ‘Don’t aim for success if you want it, just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally.’ In a nutshell, I think that is what the Rock & Roll Sale and being a ServNet auction is all about,” he concluded.
