Experian Automotive is providing dealers a new tool for free that they can use in making the best inventory and sales decisions possible.

Each month, the AutoCount Market Snapshot summarizes the trends going on in a dealer’s specific market. This allows dealers to get a picture of how they stack up against others in their areas.

It features a market-specific overview that goes over the used- and new-vehicle sales trends in the last six months. Market Snapshot also delves into the hottest sellers in terms of volume and the models showing the greatest gains (percentage-wise) in sales.

Moreover, it also tells dealers which stores in their respective markets are the biggest and which ones are growing the quickest.

There is a “luxury” option that lets dealers sort the report by luxury-specific trends.

“Dealers who have a firm understanding of their performance versus the overall performance of their market will hold a clear advantage as the automotive market stabilizes,” commented Scott Waldron, president of Experian Automotive.
