NEW YORK -

More than 1,200 Ford and Lincoln dealerships across the U.S. will expand satellite radio subscriptions to include buyers of equipped pre-owned vehicles.

SiriusXM Radio announced today that these dealers can now provide their customers a three-month SiriusXM subscription when they purchase any pre-owned vehicle with a factory-installed satellite radio.

“Ford and Lincoln dealers are dedicated to providing customers with quality vehicles with features that enhance their driving experience,” said Dave Mondragon, general manager of Ford and Lincoln marketing.

“Now even more customers buying a vehicle from the satellite radio-equipped inventories of Ford and Lincoln dealerships will have the opportunity to listen to SiriusXM when they first start up their newly-acquired pre-owned vehicles," he added.

The subscriptions allow customers access to SiriusXM’s commercial-free music broadcasts, as well as sports, news, talk, entertainment, traffic and weather information.

“We are excited to work with over 1,200 Ford and Lincoln dealers to enhance the pre-owned buying experience of their vehicles,” said Joe Verbrugge, senior vice president and general manager of automotive remarketing and retail sales for SiriusXM.

The addition of Ford and Lincoln dealers brings to 5,000 the number of dealers nationwide which offer SiriusXM programming subscriptions with eligible pre-owned vehicle purchase, Verbrugge added.

The automaker will continue to give customers a six-month SiriusXM subscription with the purchase of new Ford and Lincoln vehicles, and a three-month subscription with the purchase of Certified Pre-Owned vehicles.
