Manheim St. Louis Rings In Golden Anniversary

ATLANTA -
Manheim St. Louis recently held a sale in commemoration of its 50th anniversary that brought in 1,300 dealers to the auction and attracted 400 dealers on Manheim Simulcast.
Dealers could choose from 1,800 vehicles for sale at the event, which also included various prizes. Among the prizes were reconditioning service discounts, gift certificates, trip and guitars autographed by country music stars Alan Jackson and Kenny Chesney.
Additionally, Dutch Hauhe — who is the son of auction founder Floyd Hauhe and the former general manager — made a surprise visit to the sale.
“It was a big day for us,” said Mike Goodsell, the auction’s general manager.
“Our team works hard to ensure our customers have the best possible experience when they conduct business at Manheim St. Louis, and this was a great opportunity to give back to our dedicated dealers who show up each and every week and thank them for their business,” he added.
Explaining about the auction’s history, officials noted that it was founded in 1959. In 1960, the auction hosted its first sale.
Initially, it had two lanes and now it holds 12.
