NADA University Webinar on Fuel Economy, Federal Labels On Tap Next Week

NADA University, in partnership with federal regulatory agencies, is hosting a Webinar next week that is designed to help dealers respond to consumer questions that may arise in light of the upcoming fuel-economy label requirements.
"Selling Fuel Economy and the New Federal Label" Webinar is set for Tuesdayat 1 p.m. EDT.
“High and erratic fuel prices are causing consumers to focus on fuel economy like never before,” said Doug Greenhaus, the National Automobile Dealers Association’s chief regulatory counsel. “And new government fuel economy mandates will impose higher costs on tomorrow’s vehicles.”
By law, model-year 2013 vehicles will have new fuel economy information on their Monroney labels, NADA noted.
Webinar presenters include Greenhaus; Kristin Kenausis of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency; Gregory Powell of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration; and Don Chalmers, chairman of NADA’s Government Relations Committee.
“This webinar will prepare new-vehicle sales managers and their staffs to answer questions from their customers about the new fuel economy labels,” Greenhaus said. “Current insights into how consumers understand and value fuel economy will be discussed, along with new ideas for making the fuel economy value proposition.”
Webinar participants will also hear information on tools that enable consumers to compare fuel economy performance.
Registration for the two-hour Webinar is free for NADA and ATD members. For more information, visit www.nada.org/nadauniversity.
