National Auto Auction Week Begins Today

Today marks the beginning of the National Auto Auction Association’s annual promotion week, a time when it encourages members to celebrate their vital industry contributions.
To assist members with National Auto Auction Week plans, NAAA executive director Frank Hackett recommended going to the association’s website, which contains a variety of materials such as posters, sample press releases for local media and more.
“We at the NAAA are proud of the positive role our members play in making a difference in both the national economy and the local community,” Hackett declared.
“This special week celebrates our industry’s seven decades of entrepreneurship, financial success and community service,” he continued. “We encourage you to use this time to thank your loyal customers, recognize your outstanding employees and renew your commitment to the community with a variety of events and activities. I would urge you to invite your governor, mayor or other elected leaders to give this week their stamp of approval with an official proclamation."
Hacket went on to mention National Auto Auction Week activities can be the center of an operation’s marketing efforts.
“Please use these materials to promote your business and get the word out to the public about what you do for the community,” he urged. “And it’s the perfect time to say thank you to your dealers and employees. National Auto Auction Week provides an excellent opportunity to show your appreciation for the people who contribute to the success of your auction.”
“Safeguarded by an association of colleagues, the auto auction industry has grown to become a vital part of North America’s commerce,” Hackett insisted. “Last year you and your fellow members sold 8.42 million vehicles worth $80 billion in gross revenue.
“In addition to that major economic impact, auto auction members like you contribute to the wellbeing of individual communities across the continent by generously sharing your success through public service and philanthropic activities,” he added.
“However you choose to celebrate this exciting week, remember the most important thing is to have fun,” Hackett concluded.
