ATLANTA — Porsche Cars North America has a new executive vice president and chief financial officer, the automaker revealed Tuesday.

Taking the post is Thierry Kartochian, who takes over for Frank Hoffmann as he leaves the company to pursue other opportunities.

Kartochian had been serving in concurrent roles as executive vice president of Porsche Business Services and as CFO for Porsche Financial Services since October 2008.

Kartochian was responsible for the executive management of PBS. As some may know, PBS offers shared services for various Porsche activities in North America, including PCNA.

In serving as CFO for PFS, he was called to head up various financial services in the automaker's North America operations.

At the same time he was serving in these two roles, Kartochian was also working as Porsche Enterprises' executive vice president. He has served in this post since October 2008, as well.

As most know, Porsche Enterprises is the automaker's North American holding company.

Kartochian will continue to hold these positions temporarily until the transition is complete, a Porsche spokesman confirmed to Auto Remarketing.

Kartochian started as a controlling analyst when he came aboard Porsche AG in Stuttgart, Germany, 19 years ago. His experience with the automaker also includes time as a CFO and human resources director for Porsche France Group, a position he held for nine years.

In that capacity, his duties included all finance, IT, legal and HR activities.
