AutoTrader Picks 6 CPO Rides With That ‘Brand New’ Look

Perhaps one of the most attractive things about certified pre-owned cars to customers — and one of the biggest selling points for dealers — is this closeness to the new-car experience that these models can provide.
Though CPO vehicles are used, the warranties and confidence they offer customers is similar to when penning a new-car deal. But, the question remains, which CPO rides actually look new?
In recent post to the site authored by Nick Palermo, AutoTrader.com picked out the top six CPO models that look "brand new."
The list includes a mix of luxury vehicles, such as the Lexus CT200h, as well as more rugged vehicles, including the Ram 1500.
"The best ones (cars) that are traded in within a few years are often included in dealers' certified pre-owned (CPO) programs. Certified cars get a chance to be new once again, or at least close to it," Palermo wrote.
"These vehicles, which must meet age, mileage and condition requirements that vary by manufacturer, are inspected, cleaned, reconditioned and offered for sale with warranties to extend that peace of mind to a second owner."
The list also includes year spans for vehicles that most look like their 2013 or 2014 counterparts.
"But you don't have to buy a brand-new car to have the latest designs, thanks to CPO vehicles. Except for occasional, subtle year-to-year changes, these six models look nearly identical to their corresponding new 2013 or 2014 models in showrooms now," the blog post reads. "This means you can choose a more affordable CPO vehicle over a brand-new one."
And this brand-new feel and look can certainly be a hot selling point for dealers.
The top six CPO rides that look most new, according to AutoTrader.com, are as follows:
2011-2013 Kia Optima
2009-2013 RAM 1500
2008-2013 Buick Enclave
2011-2013 Lexus CT200h
2009-2013 Volkswagen Tiguan
2011-2013 MINI Cooper Countryman
