CarGurus announced its 2026 Top Dealer Awards honorees on Tuesday, spotlighting the most trustworthy dealerships throughout the U.S., U.K. and Canada.

The honorees are those stores that “consistently earn shoppers’ trust through exceptional service, competitive value, and transparent experiences,” the company said.

CarGurus determines Top Dealer Award winners through verified customer reviews and its own marketplace data on metrics like vehicle pricing and digital retail engagement.

Less than 10% of dealers on the company’s platform earned such designation this year.

“CarGurus is guided by a mission to make car shopping more transparent and trustworthy, and our Top Dealer Award winners help bring that to life,” CarGurus president and chief operating officer Sam Zales said in a news release.

“These awards recognize the dealers who consistently stand out, while giving shoppers another trusted signal as they decide where to buy their next car.”

Within the Top Dealer Awards are three categtories:

— Top Rated Dealers, which have the strongest customer satisfaction scores (at least 4.5 out of 5 based on a minimum verified customer review)

— Top Value Dealers, which recognize the top 100 dealers in each region that have the highest share of 2025 inventory with “Good” or “Great” Deal Rating from CarGurus

—Top Digital Dealer, which spotlights the top 100 U.S. stores providing the most digitally enabled shopping experience.

Honorees receive Top Dealer badging on the CarGurus website as well as in-store signage.
