TORONTO -

After numerous automakers in Canada, such as Volvo and Audi, reported double-digit certified pre-owned sales jumps for the first month of year, records once again are rolling in as February's Canadian CPO sales results hit the presses.

And one program achieved a new record for year-to-date sales this past month.

Audi of Canada sold a total of 295 CPO vehicles in February, compared to 296 during the same period last year.

But with January and February results combined, the company  achieved a record-breaking year-to-date total of 626 CPO unit sales for the program.

But they weren’t the only program to achieve a double-digit sales increase.

In fact, Volkswagen Canada did so for both February monthly and year-to-date sales.

February 2013 sales (998 units) were up 12.6 percent from the same period last year, when VW sold 886 CPO vehicles.

Year-to-date, VW Canada has sold 2,059 certified rides, up 22 percent from the same period of 2012. Last year, January and February garnered 1,693 Canadian CPO sales for VW.

And for Mazda Canada, the automaker is starting its first full year of CPO sales, since the certified program launched in March of 2012. And it appears sales are off to a fast start.

Bryan Leaitch, manager of certified pre-owned, told Auto Remarketing Canada the automaker sold 338 units for the month, making a grand total of 728 CPO sales year-to-date. Year-over-year comparisons for this program will be available next month.
