Ford & Manheim Canada Reveal Partnership to ‘Expand’ Dealer Opportunities

Ford and Manheim revealed this week the two companies are partnering in an effort to expand dealer opportunities in Canada.
Under the new partnership, Ford of Canada will begin running weekly weekly sales at Manheim Toronto that will be open to all dealers in late May.
Dealers will also be able to buy vehicles on OVE.com.
Commenting on the news, Nick Peluso, Manheim’s senior vice president of customer management, said, “Ford and Manheim have had a longstanding partnership in the U.S. for almost half a century, and we’re thrilled to work with them in Canada.
“This is a great opportunity for us to build on the best practices we’ve learned with Ford around the world, show them our service advantages and continue to grow our relationship,” he added.
Starting in late May, sales will be set to run every Tuesday. These sales will feature an assortment of
daily rental repurchase, off-lease and repo vehicles, officials noted.
“We look forward to working with the Manheim team,” said Tim Quesnel, remarketing operations manager at Ford of Canada. “We have some important goals in common: make it as easy as possible for dealers to access the vehicles they need, and make the customer experience a positive one. We are encouraging our dealers to be ready to take advantage of these sales.”
Cheryl Munce, general manager of Manheim Toronto, also commented on the news, saying, “Our staff is very excited to be working with the Ford team.
“Ford of Canada brings a proven reputation as a trusted seller with high-quality products, something we appreciate as much as our customers do,” she added.
Manheim Canada also shared that plans are underway to expand Ford-sponsored auctions to other Manheim Canada locations and include closed sale channels, as well.
Additional details will be announced as new schedules are finalized, officials said.
