TORONTO -

The International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA) Canada announced the winners of the 2013 IARA Builders Award today.

Honored this year are Lisa Scott and Steve Macaluso, co-chairs of IARA Canada.

Alex Johnston, IARA Canada Awards and Recognition committee lead said, “While many have contributed, Lisa and Steve are to thank for planting the seed of expanding the IARA from the U.S. to Canada and the organization will remain indebted to them for years to come.  We are pleased that we could honor their ambition with a token of our gratitude today.”

It was also announced that Canada will be given a greater profile in the IARA organization in the United States by way of a seat at IARA committee table in the U.S.

IARA Canada will also be looking for a new co-chair as Scott has indicated that she will move out of her co-chair role at the end of 2013 to make the role available to a consignor. 

Scott will remain as part of the IARA Canada board, and Macaluso will remain as co-chair to help transition the new chair into the role, the organization explained.
