Larry H. Miller Announces New CFO; Russ Darrow Group Rolls Out Sales Promotions

Larry H. Miller Dealerships announced a chief financial officer appointment late last week, as another dealer group launched a sales drive for the month of March.
Dean Fitzpatrick, president of Larry H. Miller Dealerships, named Rourk Kemp CFO for the dealership group. Kemp previously served as vice president of finance for Miller Automotive Operations.
In his new role, the company said Kemp will offer strategic and operational support for the dealerships, analysis of their financial status, and will counsel on any necessary changes.
“Rourk has the proven ability to not only handle day-to-day controller responsibilities, but he also has the skill to identify patterns, look ahead, and implement changes that will help our dealerships operate more strategically and effectively,” Fitzpatrick said.
Joining the Larry H. Miller team in May 2009 as a controller, Kemp was named vice president of finance in August 2011. In that role, he worked on floor plan, real estate and other dealership financing, the company noted, along with risk management, treasury and payroll for the dealership operations.
Kemp also provided oversight and support to all dealership and corporate accounting offices. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Utah State University.
