Latest Breakdown of Leasing Payments

As Experian Automotive noted earlier this week in its State of the Automotive Finance Market, lease penetration levels are at historic highs.
Shortly after this report came out, Swapalease.com dove into an analysis detailing what consumers have been paying lately for these cars.
The site released a list of the average monthly payments on the most popular leases.
Through reports from drivers on these leases, Swapalease found that the lowest monthly payments in May were found on the Chevy Cruze ($214.00), followed by the Toyota Corolla ($234.05).
The priciest lease in the site's data set was the BMW X5 ($852.60), with the BMW 3 Series in a distant second ($537.29).
Showing the heaviest year-over-year lease payment decrease in the data set for May was the Honda Civic, whose payments fell 20.9 percent year-over-year in May, coming in at $244.55.
The largest increase was for the Jeep Grand Cherokee, whose payments climbed 34.8 percent to $523.10.
The Ford Fusion wasn't far behind with a 33.3-percent hike, as its payments were $355.42 last month.
“Activity on the Swapalease.com marketplace and numbers from Experian show that leasing has heated back up with a growing number of drivers taking advantage of lease contracts,” said Scot Hall, executive vice president of Swapalease.com.
“Our monthly listings give a true reading of what people are currently paying for their leases on the road today.”
