OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -

NCM Associates on Wednesday announced the addition of three industry veterans to the company, in roles serving NCM’s retail automotive clients.

Joining the company as retail coaches in NCM’s Retail Operations Consulting division are Larry Beasley and Richard Ackman.

Beasley comes to NCM from Asbury Automotive Group, where he served as pre-owned process director since 2009. Prior to that, Beasley worked at Sonic Automotive Group in various roles, with special emphasis in pre-owned operations management at the corporate and retail levels.

At NCM, Beasley will bolster the capacity of Retail Operations Consulting as the company prepares to launch a new used-vehicle operations improvement program this month.

Ackman most recently served as general manager at Borcherding Buick GMC in Cincinnati, and has worked with Germain Motor Co. in Columbus, ohio

In both organizations,  Ackman was an effective turnaround manager, and will bring his competencies in strategic planning, operations, finance, sales and change management to more retail auto dealerships via his new NCM role, the company said.

Also new to the NCM team is Alvin Dvorak, who will serve as a full-time instructor on the faculty of the NCM Institute Center for Automotive Retail Excellence.

Dvorak has more than 25 years of sales and general management experience with dealerships in Kansas, Colorado and North Dakota. In his new position, NCM officials said he will help develop the management competencies of the next generation of dealership leaders.

“We’ve been seeking qualified candidates for over a year, as we knew it was critical to increase our capacity as dealers were once again able to turn their attention inward to improving processes and expanding their dealerships’ competencies,” said Paul Faletti Jr., president and chief executive officer of NCM.

“Alvin, Larry and Richard are joining us at just the right time, and I am certain that with their collective caliber of expertise and experience, our capacity to meet the demand we’re experiencing now has increased by a power of three," he added.

The new employees were introduced to their fellow associates at a recent semi-annual management meeting where the company’s executive conference moderators and retail coaches convened at NCM headquarters.

Several new consulting projects and training initiatives were reviewed at the meeting, the company reported, including the launch of its “38 in 8” program, an eight-hour, on-site evaluation of a dealership’s used car operation that results in an actionable business plan by the end of the day.
