Potratz: Marketing to a Lifestyle

Continuing with his recent theme of leveraging holiday trends to move metal, Paul Potratz asked dealers if they’re marketing to people as things are happening in their lives, especially with Thanksgiving coming later this week.
The chief operating officer and founder of Potratz Partners Advertising gave an example of how people likely will be traveling quite a bit this week to visit family and friends.
“To make your message ring true to them,” Potratz began, “why not create an ad series about people spending a lot of time in their car? Here’s an example, ‘Since you have to spend so much time in your car, don’t you want one that’s safer and has more room or gets better fuel efficiency?’
“Tie your marketing into the holiday and what people are going to be doing,” he continued in the latest video in his series, “Think Tank Tuesday."
