Rivian has hired business leader and entrepreneur Greg Revelle as chief customer officer, responsible for overseeing the electric vehicle manufacturer’s entire customer journey and leading its go-to-market strategy, including sales, marketing and operations.

Revelle recently closed Revatek, a startup battery charging systems provider he founded in 2024 to enhance the off-grid outdoor experience. He previously held executive roles with nationally-known brands Kohl’s, Best Buy, AutoNation and Expedia, and currently serves as a member of Cars.com’s board of directors.

“We are excited Greg is bringing his deep experience across e-commerce, marketing and automotive to Rivian,” Rivian founder and CEO RJ Scaringe said. “Greg has a proven track record of leading large teams in a dynamic environment.”

Revelle joins Rivian as the company prepares to launch the R2, a five-passenger SUV built on the company’s midsize platform, which is projected to hit the market in the first half of 2026.

“Rivian’s commitment to AI and software-defined vehicles is something I’ve admired for a while,” Revelle said. “The company has built versatile, intuitive vehicles that solve real-world needs for customers, seamlessly bridging the gap between daily utility and outdoor adventure. I’m looking forward to helping the company scale and bring R2 to market in the coming year.”
